Sat. Oct. 21, 2023- Airport Haunted Harvest Invitational @ Airport High SchoolThe Braves last competition was at the newly revamped Airport Invite where they changed the theme of their race to the Haunted Harvest Invitational. The event offered two race distances, 1 mile for the K-3rd graders and 1.5 miles for 4th & 5th graders. Congratulations on a great season Braves!!
Girls K-3rd Race (1 mile): Isabella Inman claimed the title of K-3 Champion, out sprinting the competition to finish first overall and receiving a medal (7:31.8). Tiffany Perecki placed 65th (11:07.1), with Avery Scherz close behind in 67th (11:07.8) out of 98 runners.
Boys K-3rd Race (1 mile): Grayson Kosenko led the team placing 17th (7:51.7) with Christian Miller coming in at 20th (8:06.4), Justin Block 32nd (8:44.8), Edward Jackson 54th (9:48.0), Beckett Leja 60th (10:20.3), and Robert Cardinal 85th (13:47.0) out of 89 runners.
Girls 4-5 Race (1.5 mile): Addison Block led at 30th (14:19.3), with Brooklyn Hall at 37th (15:03.9) and Juliet Holdwick 41st (15:31.9) out of 61 runners.
Boys 4-5 Race (1.5 mile): Blake Taecken led at 30th (12:55.7) and Kaiden Kuhn placed 44th (13:52.2) out of 71 runners.
In the JV/Open 3-mile race, Coach Roupe received a medal for placing first in the Women’s Coach category (22:30.7).
