NEW BOSTON BRAVES FALL 2024 SEASON
Introduction

• Introduce athletes to the sport of XC – learn pacing & the joy of running
Communication Stack Team App – New Boston Braves
• Stack Team App – Information, schedule, and updates will be posted on teamapp. Be sure to add as a member and turn on notifications.
• Messaging coaches – to contact coaches use Private Chat feature in teamapp
Practices
• Practice is 5:30-6:30pm @ Chestnut or Fox Meadow in Willow (check teampp for location updates if outside events are taking place at Chestnut Pavilion)
• Bring a labeled water bottle & wear supportive running shoes
• We will run in the rain – dress for the weather. Cancellation will be posted on teamapp.
• For Heat & Humidity – We will follow the MHSAA Model Policy for Managing Heat & Humidity with practice modifications and cancellations if necessary.
• Parents are welcome to stay or drop and return after practice.
• A foot token is given for every 5 miles logged and accumulated at practice & races.
• Last practice Oct. 21st – Halloween Run. Wear costumes/cider&donuts provided by the club/parent-candy for trick-or-treating around the pavilion area
Races
• We have 5 Invitationals & 3 Jamborees on the schedule & posted in teamapp
• Arrive 30 minutes prior to the start
• Look for the Huron XC tent and/or flag. Huron Invite we will meet at the start line (NBB sign)
• RSVP under race event in the Calendar in the team app. Races are not mandatory.
Attendance/Multi-sport Athletes
• Attendance is not mandatory
• We have many multi-sport athletes that attend only once a week
• Becoming a better, more efficient runner benefits athletes in every sport
Apparel Order Due Thurs. Aug. 29
• A club shirt is included for athletes with registration. If you would like to purchase additional items orders are due by the end of practice on Thurs. 8/29
